Community Baby Shower Serves New and Expectant Moms

Updated: Apr 5, 2018

This April, more than 50 new and expectant mothers in our community will get supplies and access to resources to help them raise healthy, happy babies.

In the spirit of a traditional baby shower, the Community Baby Shower on April 29th will be a celebration. Hosted by Women United, an affinity group of the Cape and Islands United Way, the event also serves to give low income families a stronger start to parenthood.

In addition to having some fun and meeting new friends, moms-to-be will have the opportunity to explore maternal and early childhood resources in a relaxed, supportive setting. Each attendee will also go home with a gift bag of baby essentials donated from the community.

The Community Baby Shower is supported by the Cape and Islands United Way, Cape Cod Healthcare, Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank, Premier Companies, The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod and the Sandwich Partnership for Families. And of course the dedicated committee members and volunteers who make this event possible.

If you would like to make a donation, please purchase items from the wish list and deliver them by April 15, 2018 to any Premier Companies or Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod location.
