Together — with our donors, volunteers, partners and sponsors — we work for a community where every child has an equal opportunity to thrive, every family has the resources to become self-reliant, and every person has a safe place to call home. The Cape and Islands United Way partners with more than 30 local nonprofits to fund programs that address these critical issues, making a positive difference in the lives of more than 50,000 people every year.

More than one-third of the funds we distribute to our community is raised at our events. Your engagement and generosity has a direct impact on improving the lives of our friends and neighbors.

Community Baby Shower
In the spirit of a traditional baby shower, this year's Community Baby Shower are celebrations. The events give low-income families a stronger start to parenthood by providing access to maternal and early childhood resources and many essentials to take home, such as diapers, wipes, clothing, and car seats installed by officers from the Barnstable Police helping out at the event.

This year, we will host a community baby shower in Hyannis and on Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.

Day of Action
A day to work united with your coworkers to perform a service project at a local nonprofit. Projects are one-day commitments that range from beautification efforts to organizing food pantries.
