Keeping Cape Cod Kids Warm this Winter

Thanks to a strong partnership with Puritan Cape Cod and the generosity of our community, Cape and Islands United Way (CIUW) is helping more than 200 local children stay warm this winter with new youth Patagonia jackets, along with hats and gloves.

Through community support, CIUW raised more than $5,000 to purchase 100 youth winter jackets. This effort was matched by an additional 100 jackets generously donated by Puritan Cape Cod, doubling the impact for children and families across Cape Cod. The jackets will be distributed to local nonprofit partners serving children in need throughout the region.

The jackets were presented to CIUW during a community shopping event held on December 2 at Puritan Cape Cod’s flagship Hyannis store. During the event, 10% of all purchases were donated to CIUW, further supporting our work to meet essential needs and strengthen local families.

This collaboration reflects what’s possible when local businesses, donors, and community members come together with a shared commitment to caring for one another. CIUW is deeply grateful to Puritan Cape Cod and everyone who participated in this effort to help ensure children across the Cape are warm, safe, and supported this winter.
