The Cape and Islands United Way (CIUW) has been selected as a beneficiary of the Stop & Shop Bloomin’ 4 Good Program for the month of October.
The Stop & Shop Bloomin’ 4 Good Program, which launched in February 2021, is an easy way for shoppers to give back. Every $10.99 bouquet in the sleeve marked “Bloomin’ 4 Good” sold supports a hunger organization local to the Stop & Shop in which it was purchased.
CIUW was selected as the October beneficiary by local store leadership at the Stop & Shop located at 3900 Falmouth Road, Marstons Mills. CIUW will receive a $1 donation from each purchase of every $10.99 bouquet.
“Flowers can make anyone's day, brighten a room or make someone smile,” said Mark Skala, CEO of CIUW. “We ask the community to purchase a Bloomin’ 4 Good Bouquet at the Marstons Mills Stop & Shop during the month of October, and those funds raised will go directly to helping fight hunger.”
The Cape and Islands United Way (CIUW) is the region’s leading social impact organization. Founded in 1960, they are the trusted local organization charged with the “big picture” of human needs. The population they serve includes all residents of the 22 towns of Barnstable, Duke and Nantucket counties.
