For a second year, the Cape and Islands United Way has been approved for a VISTA member.
AmeriCorps VISTA members serve as a catalyst for change, living and working alongside community members to meet our nation’s most pressing challenges and advance local solutions. The position is funded through the Center for National Service, but selects a site to conduct their service.
At the Cape and Islands United Way, the VISTA member will assist us in our Community Impact work. Working alongside the Director of Community Impact, s/he will maintain update data on the needs of our region, support the grant-making process, assist in volunteer activities and with our Strong from the Start platform.
