Initial message regarding COVID-19

Updated: Apr 10, 2020

Due to the growing concern over the Coronavirus outbreak, the Cape and Islands United Way is temporarily adjusting its business practices. The health and safety of employees and the community remain our top priority. As such, we have enacted several measures in response to the outbreak.

  • Adjustments are being made to programming and events, including a POSTPONEMENT of LAUGH UNITED comedy event until May. Please stay tuned for details.

  • An alternative plan is also being created for the Community Baby Shower in late April, should the need arise.

  • All meetings of committees, boards and staff will temporarily be done online.Employees have the ability to work remotely, and will do so for the time being.

  • All conferences scheduled for staff have been cancelled for the next 60 days.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility in this time of uncertainty.

In good health and good spirit,

Mark Skala, President and CEO

The Cape and Island United Way
