Now through October 31, Chick-fil-A Cape Cod will donate .25 of each delicious chocolate chunk cookie to the Cape and Islands United Way to support women on the Cape with breast cancer.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, where many organizations are working to increase awareness of the disease, share resources for early detection, and support women with a breast cancer diagnosis.
Breast cancer is the highest diagnosed cancer in women. 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. And on the Cape and Islands, we have the highest incidence rates in the state (Barnstable County and Nantucket County, respectively).
Barnstable County has the more breast cancer diagnoses each year than anywhere else in the state.
So treating yourself to some cookies will make an impact for women right here in our community. Just visit Chick-fil-A on Route 132 in Hyannis throughout the month of October, and know you're doing something great just by buying some cookies.
