Why do YOU Live United?
Ever wonder why someone aligns with a particular project, program or mission?
Last month, we visited several of our amazing community leaders who choose to support the Cape and Islands United Way. Here's a sneak peak of what they said.

March Highlights

The Importance of Reading Aloud
We know that reading aloud to young children promotes early literacy skills and healthy brain development. So we are thrilled to share that last month, we were able to donate hundreds of books back into our community.
At our March United event at the JFK Museum we collected new books for Reach Out and Read. The evening was hosted by Women United and featured best-selling author Lauren Wolk as guest speaker.
Last week, we brought more than 300 gently used books to the Community Health Center of Cape Cod, through our partnership with CapeSpace.
What a Hoot!
A huge thank you to our community for coming out to our first ever comedy night at the Cotuit Center for the Arts: Laugh United. We had a full house and lots of laughs, all in the spirit of lifting each other up.
And special thanks to our sponsors, Keller Company, Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston, Eastern Bank, HyLine Cruises, Cape Air, Jeffrey and Nancy Bilizekian and CCB Media.
